The 12 Months of Christmas Card Link Up

THE 12 MONTHS OF CHRISTMAS CARD LINK UP
NOW HAS ITS VERY OWN BLOG.
YOU CAN FIND IT BY CLICKING HERE OR ON THE BADGE DIRECTLY TO THE RIGHT.

I don't know about you, but I never seem to have enough holiday cards ready and am always scrambling at the last minute to make some more. Therefore I have decided to create this page to help me and others like yourself, stay on track with creating our holiday cards.

Every time I create a new holiday card, I will add a small picture of it to this page.  My goal will be to add two each month.  This page will also contain a link up that will remain active until December 31st, 2014 (please note that currently I can only leave it open until September 13th which is when my account is up for renewal.  I will however update the link up, once the account has been renewed or add an additional one if necessary).  I invite you to come over and link up any Christmas and/or ***holiday themed cards that you create each month throughout this year.  It will provide you with a place to showcase your own creations and be inspired by others joining in, to keep ahead of or potentially even avoid, the year end holiday card panic that hits so many of us in December.

 A Little Incentive...
At the end of each month, every person who has linked up a MINIMUM of two (2) Christmas or ***holiday themed cards will be eligible to receive a specially designed Christmas themed digital paper that I will create.  On a monthly basis, I will go through and create a list of people's names and then post them on my blog.  If your name appears on the list, it will then be your responsibility to contact me, in order to claim your paper.  That means that if you submit two cards each month, by the time that the year is done, you will have received 12 free digital papers, all for the low cost of linking up cards you need to create anyways.  You do not need to use the digital paper I give you each month in your cards in order to get the next paper.  They are strictly meant as incentive to participate.

But wait there's more...
Every ***card you submit to the link up, earns you one chance to win a special digital Christmas kit that I will be working on throughout the year.  This kit will include more papers, plus it will likely include: frames, buttons, brads, ribbons, wordart creations and other kinds of embellishments.  Each section of the kit will be offered up as a prize and then the whole kit will be offered up as a grand prize.  So for example, if you submit 40 cards across the whole year, you will have 40 chances to win these extra goodies.  How is that for a little extra incentive?!

Sound like a plan???
I hope that you will jump on board The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up with me.  I have created a badge that I would love for you to share with your own readers.  Just link it up to this page: http://decossesdynamitedoodles.blogspot.ca/p/the-12-days-of-christmas-card-link-up.html

  RULES
The rules are simple and similar to what you would find on most challenge blogs:
  • You can enter as many times as you would like to enter.  As long as each entry is with a new project. No backlinkingJust remember the more you enter the better your chance will be of winning the kit I'll be handing out at the end of the year.
  • You can combine your entry with as many other challenges as you would like to combine it with.
  • You can use any image from any company that you would like.  You don't need to use the digital paper I hand out each month to qualify to receive the next one. Of course, I would love to see a card created using one of these papers and there just might be an extra bonus for those who do.
  •  Make sure when entering your project you mention The 12 Months of Christmas Link-Up in your post with a link back to this page.
  •  Please remember to link directly to your blog post where I can see your creation, and not just the generic link to your blog. Generic blog links will be disabled or deleted.
  • To qualify to receive the free digital paper for the month, you must link up two cards by 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the month.  For example, your two cards must be linked up by 11:59 p.m. on:
    • January 31
    • February 28
    • March 31
    • April 30
    • May 31
    • June 30
    • July 31
    • August 31
    • September 30
    • October 31
    • November 30
    • December 31
  • On a monthly basis, I will go through and create a list of people's names and then post them on my blog and on this page.  If your name appears on the list, it will then be your responsibility to contact me, in order to claim your paper.
Easy Peasy right!

To help get you started I created a special freebie paper that I distributed on my blog when I announced The 12 Days of Christmas Card Link Up.  You can click HERE to go and grab that paper.

The 12 Months of Christmas begins right now!!!  Link up will appear below any of my own personal cards and stats for each month.

June--cards #376 - 438
Personal Cards to keep me on track.  Woo, hoo!  I managed to pull three off this month:

Stats for June
Something is wonky with the numbers this time around.  There are a total of 62 link ups with two of those linkups having 2 cards each.  So, my thinking is that would bring the number up to 64.  However, when I count everyone up, I somehow have a total of 65.  Not sure where I went wrong this month but anyway, I guess I'll leave it that we had eighteen people linking up a total of 65 creations to the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up during the month of June. Fifteen of those individuals linked up a minimum of two cards each qualifying them to receive the sixth paper of the season, which I've included the watermark of, below.
In case you missed it on the special winner announcement post on July 9th (click HERE), here are the names of those people eligible to receive a digital paper for June:

  • KT Fit Kitty
  • Gloria Shirr
  • Borqna
  • Kelly L.

July--cards #439 - 532
Personal Cards to keep me on track.  Thankfully, I managed to pull off another three cards:

Stats for July
Woop, Woop.  I actually got all the numbers to add up this month.  Go me!  Twenty-One people linked up a total of 94 cards to the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up during the month of July.  That is our highest number yet!  Eighteen of those individuals linked up a minimum of two cards each qualifying them to receive the seventh paper of the season, which I've included the watermark of, below.
In case you missed it on the special winner announcement post on August 23rd (click HERE), here are the names of those people eligible to receive a digital paper for July:
  • Crafting Vicky
  • Margaret A
  • Helen/Made by Helen
  • Edwina Brown

  • Ursula Uphof
  • Suze
  • KT Fit Kitty
  • Kathleen
August--cards #533 - 621
Personal Cards to keep me on track:
Stats for August
YaY.  I actually got all the numbers to add up again this month.  That is two in a row.  Go me!  Eighteen people linked up a total of 88 cards to the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up during the month of August.  Sixteen of those individuals linked up a minimum of two cards each qualifying them to receive the eighth paper of the season, which I've included the watermark of, below.

In case you missed it on the special winner announcement post on September 28th (click HERE), here are the names of those people eligible to receive a digital paper for August:
  • Crafting Vicky
  • Susan Renshaw
  • Hazel

  • Ellis
  • KT Fit Kitty
  • Borqna

September--cards #622 - 679
Personal Cards to keep me on track:

Stats for September
YaY.  I'm on a roll.  That is now three months in a row, I have managed to get all the numbers to add up. Interestingly, there was quite a decrease in numbers from August to September with 31 LESS cards being linked up.  Fourteen people linked up a total of 57 cards to the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up during the month of August.  Twelve of those individuals linked up a minimum of two cards each qualifying them to receive the ninth paper of the season, which I've included the watermark of, below.

In case you missed it on the special winner announcement post on November 13th (click HERE), the names were published.  You can see them all below.  Due to the lateness, I did September and October together so I combined the list.  However, there was one person who only qualified to receive a digital paper for September ONLY, so I'll include that name below:

  •  EMA-gination

October--cards #680 - 761
Personal Cards to keep me on track:

Stats for October
October's numbers (that balanced again) jumped back up with twenty people linking up a total of 81 cards during the month of August.  Fourteen of those individuals linked up a minimum of two cards each qualifying them to receive the tenth paper of the season, which I've included the watermark of, below.

As there was one person who was only eligible for September, three who were only eligible for October and then eleven eligible for both months, I divided up the lists so that each was sent with the proper subject heading.  The name for September only was included above.  The names for October only are:
  • Borqna
  • Desíre Fourie
  • Edwina Brown
The following people were eligible for both September and October:
  • Helen/Made by Helen
  • Crafting Vicky
  • Margaret A
  • Hazel
  • Suze
  • centralnyscrapper
  • Pumpy
  • Julie O
  • Marji--Tiggerscraps
  • KT Fit Kitty
  • Ellis

November--cards #762 - 894
Personal Cards to keep me on track:

Stats for November
coming soon...

Request your paper if you haven't already done so...
If you see your name in any of the lists above and haven't yet done so but want your paper(s), send an email to decossesdynamitedoodles {at} yahoo {dot} ca, or by clicking HERE to bring the address up in your email program, with the subject heading, "Christmas Link Up--" and the particular month or months you are requesting, beside it.

LINK UP

Link up for your Christmas and/or holiday themed cards:

***holiday themed cards--please note that I will accept any type of holiday themed card as it relates to any recognized holiday taking place during the month of December, i.e. Chanukah, St. Lucia Day, St. Nicholaus Day, Festivus, Christmas. Kwanzaa, etc.  This link up is not for other types of holidays like Easter, Valentine's Day, etc.  It is strictly a means to help provide incentive to create Christmas and/or other December holiday cards.

REMEMBER...
You do not need to use the digital paper I give you each month in your cards in order to get the next paper.  They are strictly meant as incentive to participate.

I love making Christmas cards (which is why I started a couple of challenge blogs of my own) and join in with anything Christmas throughout the year as much as I can. I've just added some of the cards I've made and blogged this year - and I'll keep adding when I can (I can't include all of them because some challenge blogs have restrictions on the number of other challenges joined) x

Thank you for the January paper. I have loaded 4 cards so far for February. I hope to do more. I worked out I need to do at least 3 cards a week to be ready for Christmas.

Thanks to Desire for alerting me to this fun challenge. I have linked one card, but it doesn't want to let me link another. I will try the second card again tomorrow, but not sure what I am doing wrong. :(

Great inspiration from the others here too! I made it to week 2! ~Diane

Hello, Lisa, for my February Christmas cards I did them both on one blog post, and I entered them here as #120 and #121. I linked just to my blog on #121 because I couldn't use the same link twice. Hoping this is okay :-) Thank you for the impetus to get my holiday cards done early!

I have left a message for Edwina to advise she can just add her card onto this linky as it is valid for the whole of the year.

Hello, Lisa, I just linked up my 2 cards for March (two cards posted in one blog post). I could only link a photo of one card because I already used my blog address for February when I posted two cards in one blog post. I hope I still qualify even though I can't link a photo of the second card. Both cards are covered in Entry #200. Thank you for the linky, and sorry for the trouble!
