 Day six: click HERE

As a quick refresher, each day during the 12 Days of Christmas (Dec. 25th to Jan. 5th), you're going to be given a task to follow. I'll be sending you on a quest to visit the stores or blogs of designers that I love in order to create specific Wish Lists that I want you to share with me. You will be able to leave your daily Wish List in a comment on the post for each respective day. If you follow the instructions for each day, you'll earn a free digital paper.

To make it fair for everyone, I will have comment moderation on and won't be publishing any comments for The 12 Days of Christmas until the quest is over.

Since this is a busy time of year for most people, you will have plenty of time to complete the quest. It is completely up to you as to when you submit your answers (daily, all at once at the end, or otherwise). AS LONG AS ALL your Wish Lists are submitted, no later than January 12th, 2019, then you will qualify to receive the paper(s) for whichever day(s) you participate.

Here is the paper up for grabs today...

This paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include: Viva Star Kids (Creative Fabrica), Elif Sahin and Sheila Reid (Pixel Scrapper). In the zip folder that will be emailed should you successfully complete the quest, you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Play along each of the 12 days and you'll earn yourself the full set! So, how about we get started with today's clue!!!

On the seventh day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number seven.
Keep up the good work and before you know it,
you'll soon work your way up to number eleven!!!

Task:
Head on over to the Limited Run Stamps store and let me know the names of your FAVOURITE THREE images that you want to add to your Wish List.  Hint: Click on the Seasonal-Christmas section which you can find on the homepage or in the right hand sidebar under the label categories, to narrow down your search! There are lots of cupcakes to choose from.

Click HERE to head there now!

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your Wish List in a comment on THIS POST. Now for many of you, especially those who have played in previous years, the odds are that I should have your e-mail address in order to send out the free paper you earn. If you are new to the quest or are not sure whether I might have your email address, please be sure to also leave your email address in your comment. If you would prefer to keep your address private, then check out the bottom paragraph from Day 1 for how to send it to me.

Hope this Monday brings you --! See you all tomorrow for day number seven!!!

The 12 Days of Christmas Quest for 2018 Begins Today!

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! Happy Chanukkah to all my Jewish friends! Feliz Navidad, Kwanzaa Blessings and Happy Holidays to everyone else!

Today marks the official start of the 12 Days of Christmas for 2018 and it is time for the 12 Days of Christmas Quest to begin!

Like last year, I'm going to have you do some window shopping. Each day over the next 12 days, I'll be sending you on a quest to visit the stores or blogs of designers that I love in order to create specific Wish Lists that I want you to share with me.

I know that this is a crazy busy time of year and hopefully the majority of you are off-line and spending quality time with your family and friends; so, be rest assured, that you will have plenty of time to complete each task.

Credits include: HG Designs and Elif Sahin (Pixel Scrapper). In the zip folder that will be emailed should you successfully complete the quest, you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Play along each of the 12 days and you'll earn yourself the full set! So, how about we get started with today's clue?!!

On the first day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number one,
So, I hope that you will all join in
and have yourself a little bit of fun!!!

Head on over to the Christmas section of The Scribbles Designs store and let me know your THREE favourite REINDEER images that you want to add to your Wish List. Hint: If necessary, don't forget to click on 'Older Posts' when you get to the bottom of each page to see more images.

Now if you are afraid of being spammed, you can write your address by adding {at} and {dot} in their respective spots (see sample below) so that robot spammers won't grab it from the comments when they are published. If you would prefer that no one else see your email address, then you can send it to me in an email to decossesdynamitedoodles {at} yahoo {dot} ca (be sure to replace 'at' and 'dot' with the appropriate symbols) or by clicking HERE to bring up my address in your email program, with the subject heading, "12 DoC 2018: Email Addy for DP Mail Out".

This is a busy time of year for me too and I also want to spend some time with my hubby as well; so, I ask that you please be patient with me. I'll mail out papers as soon as I am able to. If you plan on participating in the ENTIRE 12 DAYS OF THE QUEST and would prefer to receive the papers as one full set instead of individual papers, then please be sure to let me know that in a comment as well.

Merry Christmas, my wonderful friends, followers and readers! See you all tomorrow for day number two!!!

Cheers!

Merry Christmas!

Hell folks! I'm so sorry for the extended absence here on my personal blog these past [close to] eight months. I've dearly missed all of my regular readers. Unfortunately, it has been a difficult year. My husband had some health issues from March until July. Though they weren't life threatening in any way, they did take up significant time to deal with. Thankfully, he is back to his healthy self.

My mother also dealt with a number of health issues and in her case, we could have lost her on a few different occasions. From the discovery of blood clots in each of her legs, to gall-bladder removal surgery and a whole host of problems related to the two conditions, my mom was in and out of the hospital so many times since the end of August, that I lost count. I am very happy to say that she is finally doing better and is on the mend.

I too faced some challenges. I dealt with a bad knee starting in February that became acute around the middle of August, to the point where I couldn't even flex or extend it. It is still giving me some issues but thankfully it has started to heal.

Due to all of these different health issues, I had to let go of certain things and unfortunately my personal blog was a casualty. I just didn't have the time to keep up with it all. As things finally start to settle down I am hoping to get back to at least some work here on my blog.

I know that I've missed handing out a lot of freebies this year but I can't let Christmas go by without offering up a treat. Everyone should get at least one present on this day. So here is my Christmas gift to you...

This digital paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include: Heather Green of HG Designs. To grab it, click the download button to be taken to a download location. In the zip folder you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Stay tuned as later this evening I have something special planned. I am going to do my best to bring you the fifth annual edition of The 12 Days of Christmas, Each day for 12 days, you can earn a free holiday themed digi paper by doing a simple task. So, I'll see you all again soon!

Happy holidays all!

Card Design: Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge…April

http://gerdasteinerdesigns.com

Hey folks! First I just want to say sorry to all my loyal friends, followers and readers. Unfortunately, life has thrown me a curveball and for the last six weeks or so my life has been turned upside down. As such, my time on the computer has been significantly reduced and has greatly affected my ability to keep up with all my work--both behind the scenes and on my blogs. I haven't been able to get the freebies done I normally would have for this time of year and have sadly had to take a leave of absence from one of the teams I am on and drop a couple other things. I hope I am back 'full time' again with the next few months but until then I miss you all and hope that you understand!

One of the things I am trying hard to not drop the ball on is my progressive card for the Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge. May will mark my FOUR year anniversary with this progressive challenge and I REALLY want to stick with it for as long as I am able. I just love Gerda's work!

Card Design: Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge…March

http://gerdasteinerdesigns.com

Hello there! It is time to get my progressive card for the Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge uploaded. Before I start I just want to give an apology to my followers and friends as I have not had the time to create a St. Patrick's Day freebie. Sadly, nor will I have the time to do an Easter one. My life has sort of imploded and I'm dealing with a chaotic mess in my personal life. As such my time on the computer has been cut back considerably each day. I hope that you guys understand. As it is, I'm desperate just to try and fulfil all my challenge commitments and of course getting my progressive challenge cards done too. Thankfully, I managed to get this month's project for Gerda completed on time.

Check out the adorable image that we got to work with this month...

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #144…Lots of Green

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hello to all my friends, followers and readers out there in blogland! I'm here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #144, the theme is Lots of Green. Spring will soon be here and with it, we'll start to see a plateau of greens all around us again as nature starts to bloom. Additionally, with St. Patrick's Day coming up, green will be making another big splash. The great thing is that it doesn't really matter what theme you take your project in, as long as the colour green is prolific, you are good to go!

Here is my card. I hope that I haven't forgotten any important details:

General Info:
  • This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). I will print it out and assemble it a later date.
  • I just love Panda Bears and thought that this image would be perfect for a birthday card! As you can see, I've made use of the colour green in my choice of papers.
  • You may also note that I'm using the same layout I used for a recent card. I've fallen in love with this layout so I'm sure you'll be seeing me use it again and again!

Challenges I am hoping to enter...

You have until April 5th to enter our challenge which should give you lots of time to get a creation done. Remember the theme is Lots of Green. I really hope that you will be able to join us. You can enter twice per challenge and of course MUST follow all the challenge requirements that are posted for each challenge (please click HERE to become familiar with all the rules). In addition to all the typical criterion, you MUST USE A DIGITAL OR STAMPED IMAGE to qualify for the drawing (unless stated otherwise). We would absolutely love to see you use a Pattie's Creations (PC) image on your card, but you are allowed to use other images. If you do use a PC image, you will gain an extra entry in the draw and will have a better chance to WIN!  Easy Peasy right?!

Pop over to the challenge blog and check out what my fabulous teammates have offered up for inspiration. Oh and don't forget…Pattie offers up a new freebie the first Friday of the month and it will remain up for approximately two weeks; so, be sure to pop over and check it out as well!

Well guys, that is it for this one. Hopefully it won't be too long before I  see you all again.

Until next time,
